Scrum Conclusions

Scrum

For scrum we have used 2 programs so far. The way we use scrum is that we have a stand up in the morning. In the stand up we each explain what work we've done the last time we've seen each other. We also discuss what we are going to do today and how we want to achieve it.

Trello

The first site we've used for our scrum method is Trello. We've designed it in a way that we have batches and sprints. In the batches we say what it's supposed to be, batch one would be our brand identity and brand values. Then we take each aspect of these batches and put them in sprints. So in sprint 1 we would have to make certain aspects of the batch and in sprint 2 other aspects. The same would be done in the other batches/sprints.

Monday

For the transmedia project, we've decided to switch from Trello to Monday on Barts initiative. He found out that with Monday it's easier to manage tasks and that this platform makes everything a lot more organized.

My thoughts about this platform are simple. It's an intuitive platform to use. Every button is in a spot you expect it to be. Names of labels and tabs can be changed in a way that suits your project the best. What is also great is that you can make as many sprints as you'd like.

Conclusion

Scrum is a great way to work on projects. By keeping track on what you and your team have done thus far, you can easily assign tasks to each other and keep track where everyone is in the sprint. When it comes to the daily morning stand ups and stand downs The stand up I'm a fan of, the stand down not so much. I don't see the point in telling what you've done in the day when you're going to tell the exact same the morning after. I think it's a waste of time.
